Herder’s Experience

Take a Look Behind the Scenes!

Ever wanted to see what it's like to work at an animal sanctuary? Take a peek in with our Herders Experience! This "tour" takes you along with staff as you help work at the sanctuary and see first hand what it takes to care for all our residents! You will be involved directly with the care of over 190 formerly farmed goats and chickens, as well as their facilities in a fully immersive experience that will typically take about 3 hours. Because this experience is based on the husbandry of the animals at the sanctuary, times for the Herders Experience will vary based on the time of the year as well as the needs of the farm. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Activities will generally include:

-Daily chores on the farm

-Mucking/cleaning of barns

-Animal maintenance

-And more!
